What do you mean you don’t know what a puppy cut is?
Customers often say "puppy cut" or "teddy bear cut" like it's a standardized thing, it's not. Puppy cuts often start at about an inch long, which believe me, your inch and your groomer's inch are two completely different and unrelated things. Also, different breeds have different standards for what is and isn't a "puppy cut". Not to mention the fact that you might even have a different idea of what a "puppy cut" is. Sometimes a customer will say "puppy cut" but the notes on the dog say a 7 blade, which leads into the "teddy bear cut". Teddy bear cut just means one length all over and can range from completely shaved to the skin to just a light hand scissor all over. And because everything differs from shop to shop, some shops might have a standard that they use for a puppy cut and a teddy bear cut but it won't be the same as the next shop. So needless to say, you need to be able to help your groomer out by giving them more to go on then just those two terms. Pictures of your dog in your favorite trim is a great idea! After all we just want you to be pleased with the way your baby looks!
